Thanks to Chris & Christina for being such great hosts for this little trip, and to Martin for his entertaining moustache and other virtues.

There used to be a stylish magazine called CPH Living, short for Copenhagen Living. I didn't find it this time, but it was out last time I visited about six years ago. The magazine was full of beautifully photographed beautiful people doing, well, beautiful things, like hanging around by crystal blue lakes, or engaging in amazing conversation in stylish bars. Of course every city has a magazines like this - inspirational guff in many ways, but it's just in Copenhagen the scenes painted are probably a little closer to the truth than most places.

On the tourist front, this time around I got to see the The Little Mermaid. An hugely underwhelming sight, made only slightly more joyous by watching people trying to find a way to photograph said sea creature with out a dozen people in shot. No, I didn't manage it either. I also got to travel on an 8 seated bicycle, much more enjoyable believe me.

Food was an important part of the trip, and accompanied as I was by two gourmets to ensure everything I ate was at firstly delicious and secondly always roundly applauded. A Cobb portable "barbeque in a bag" is now firmly on my list of low-tech gadgets to own.

Night-wise we were treated to the delights of Jolene, a large bar situated in the meat-packing districting of the city, and sporting some lovely neon and blasting interesting electonica. Only the early outside seating curfew disappointed. More intimate was a bar called Din Nye Ven (literally "My New Friend"), this had a cost atmopshere, a decent DJ and plenty of games.. we were called to play Jenga with some friendly Danes. Even if you hate Jenga, and I think I do -  it's a great bar, in a great city.

Anyway, here are my photos from my short trip to Copenhagen
