Of the Beatles albums I own (it's actually my Dad's copy), Pepper - if I can be so journalistic - is the one least listened to. This may be because the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts, but it probably doesn't include my favorite Lennon/McCartney songs.
I'm still not remotely interested in the likes of Razorlight, Travis etc trotting out their versions of the album's songs. (BBC - Rock stars to recreate Sgt Pepper). But I do now think the original album demands a spin and a proper listen on it's 40th after all.
